Field trip (tiltil)

This field trip was for the signature rural geography, at exactly one year ago. I was study about the prickly pearl growling and the division possession of the field. It was three days of walking. Sun. interviewing all the people that we found.

In the night we talk with my classmates about our imprecations of the field trip and awe talk about our result of the day. It was so much boring because this activity finished very later. And the groups don’t make any afford to synthesize the information about their research.

After when this activity finished. We drink and talk until so much time as the four or five o’clock. Inclusive the make a barbecue in the second day. There is a lot of photograph of this day. In this day I eat so much meat but I don’t drink the same.

The place where we hosting it were beautiful, the place was in the middle of the mountains. I think that I never visit this place again.

But not all was happy, a friend of mine, Jaime Valderrama, he was in the middle of a trouble to nights. He… Lost his “colchon” …

My favorite piece of tecnology

My favorite piece of tecnology is the most wonderful invention of the human rece... the pc, with this machine you can get a lot of things, you can emulate a lot of videogames consoles like PSX, Dreamcast, Snes, atari, Sega Genesis and all arcade machine from the year 1979 to 2003 through the program M.A.M.E.

The PC is a home record studio, with a few programs you can get a multiple synthesizers through the programs FL Studio, Adobe Audition, Reason, Guitar Rig.

The best of PC is that you can do a lot of thing that before you needed a lot of space, and now you can get all of this free throught the piracy

Learning English

My experience learning English begins when I was eleven years old, I bought a game of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) called dragon warrior, a game that was the first famous role playing game. The game was awful but I’m very obsessive, I fished this game, but the game was full of English dialogs, I translate all the game with help from a dictionary and my brother.
In the school I never learn English, in my awful college only teach me to ask about the time and the classic “this is the window, this is the door” by three years. By the other hand I translate song and games.
Really, in the university I learn so much than in my school, because the class is better than the school. The “T- Shirts” (it’s a joke) teachers Simon and Carroza, are good teachers, and in the class program teach things very useful. Also I talk in English with my classmates about daily thing, means transport, films, music, books, etc. I like very much the English class.
That’s all folk, and study English is very useful, to work, study, reed more things, to meet people etc, etc.

Eat, drunk and dance

In the 18 of September the people of Chile normally celebrate some thing about the independence or something like that. No really “el 18” is a moment of the year very special, you can eat meat and drink alcohol, all as you can, with your family and your friends. This is not for homeland, not for the government, not for Bernardo O’Higgins, it’s just an excuse for eat and drink for two or three days. And its fun very fun.

When I was a child, I played marble usually, but I never learn to fly a kite, all my friends in my neighbourhood they could fly a kite except me. I fell like Charlie Brown.

Nowadays, I always have a barbecue with my family, later I go to a party in the night or a disco. By the other hand a friend of mine is celebrating his birthday in the 16 of September, and it’s in this date when all start.

My favourite “18”?? I don’t have anyone; because all are so good (by now), well in conclusion 18 it’s a great date, only comparable with Christmas and the New Year.

Uncertain Future

Mmm it’s a very hard question, I will be twenty-seven years old, I really don’t know, personally I hope that I should buy a house. Professionalism I hope found me working in something and if it’s connected with geography, better.

I would like to live in the centre of the city, because the centre is very funny I found all that I need, bar, discos, parks, good transport, good houses. It’s a nice place. I hope that at age I will be an independent person.

About get married, I don’t want to. I prefer to live alone, I don’t know at least eight years, before get married.

I would like to travel to England, France, Italy and Spain, and I would like to go to this great musical festival like Glastonbury, I hope to go before I die.

I don’t have so much expectative of life, if I live where I want and have fun, I will be ok.

Well, my name is Rodrigo Montes Alvarez, I’m twenty-two, I live in Santiago city; this is the capital city of my country, Chile. I live with my mother, my brother, and one of my grandmothers, her name is Sonia, but I called Nona. My brother is called Andres and my mother veronica. My mother is teacher, and my brother is chemical pharmaceutical. I got a girlfriend his name is Cintia Jara, I really love her. Our relationship is great sex and alcohol.
I like play guitar, I have to play this instrument for 10 years, I know too many songs from artist like diazole, David bowie, stone temple pilots, the smiths, even Britney spears and venal boys songs. I started to play in a band. Either I like riding a bicycle and playing soccer with my friends. I study geography in the best university of Chile, university of Chile, its a good career there very nice people and parties. I like the human geography more than Physical geography. By the other hand like so much GIS (Geography Information System.

Well you see, i am a normal person that do common thing like all other people

My blogging experience

The Blogger experience was a good experience, its great write about things like music, by the other hand the blog is an excellent tool to learn to express oneself in English. Really think that the blog it’s a perfect tool to practice English language also to made joke to my classmates. I dislike when I don’t know about what I write, but it doesn’t matters because I have to finish the post at the end of the class.

To write a blog helped me to improve my vocabulary and I learn sentence like “by the other hand and words like also, their. The blog helped me to practice my English

My favorite post was about the Irish band, and one of my favorite bands, my bloody valentine, I really tried doing it the best way that I can. I put videos and albums in the post. I really get funny when I decorated my blog with my favorite colors and pictures. The post about joy division was really good to, but I like more my bloody valentine than joy division

My least favorite post is my first post it’s really bored in this moment I didn’t know about what I write. It’s called only welcome folks.

I like several classmates’ blogs, like “Jesus’s blog” and the Jaime’s blog, because their blogs write about music, cinema and literature.

In conclusion the blog experience was a good experience that helped me to improve my vocabulary, my capacity to write in a language strange to me, English language. And it was a perfect way to know more about my classmate and friends across their blogs.

Kevin Shields

Kevin Shields is a very famous guitarist and singer from the Irish band My Bloody Valentine (one of my favorite’s bands), I never seen him live, because this band stopped play in the nineties. Kevin Shields is the main composer, and he created one of the most important albums, for my, in the year 1991, this album was called Loveless. His way to play the guitar was very new, and expansive, his technique is based to use various guitar effects like tremolo, reverb, delay and so much distortion. Also he put out of tone the guitars strings a little and record this piece so many times that he put out of tone.

He also collaborates in Sofia Coppola’s films with some songs in the soundtracks (Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette).

If I had a one by one, I would ask him about guitars, combinations of guitar effects, and the way that he recorded the album loveless, how many guitars he recorded to reach that sound, and specially I would ask him self about how play the song “soft as snow but harm inside”. Obviously I would like to play some songs with him.

This BBC’s page for learning English is excellent for someone who is study English. This page has several sections very interesting, Quizzes it’s a section that had several games for a fun learning. For example the section wordmaster is a help very useful and funny for learning new words and pronunciation.

In this page you can read and listen about news very interesting about the Britain and the world, for example “International Year of the Potato”.

I found a useful, funny and interesting tool that I hope helps me learning the language of the “lords”. (It’s a joke).

The best place that I went out in Chile is Chigualoco. Where's Chigualoco? Chigualoco is located 24 kms. north of Los Vilos in IV Region of Coquimbo... at the coast. It's a great place with a beautiful beach, great waves to practise surfing, a fishing village, cliffs and forest. It's a beautiful place to camping.I went to Chigualoco in summer 1999, when I was 12. I went with my family (my parents and my sister) and with my uncle Pepe, my Aunt Rosa and their children. I was there 1 week. I did very things: I did bodyboarding in the beach (It was awesome), I went to walk on the rocks and the forest, I knew the fishing village. I was eating fish and krabs all the week, hahahaha...It was the best holiday of my life.....

Frodo's Blog review

This blog is very boring; it has only three post with nothing interesting. The last post made for this man, talk about his favourite song, a song made by the American band “Mars Volta”. He put on the post the front cover of the last album of this band released in January. I like the information that Frodo write, the only critical is that this information he copy and paste from the page Wikipedia, but who cares.

I like so much the photograph because is funny, and this photo reminds me the geography students congress that was made in the city of Mendoza, Argentina in the year 2006.

I don’t like the blog’s colours, this tonality of green seem very awful, but is his blog not my blog.

My favorite song ....... by now

The song called "disorder" from the U.K band Joy Division is one of my favorites songs. Its musical structure is fantastic. The song begins with a drum beat that reminds me of the Chilean Band called "Los Prisioneros" , to be exact the song "La voz de los 80´s" , this is really funny because this song has a typical lively drum beat from the eighties. On the other hand the song Disorder counts with a work on the bass line and guitar chordes, with a simple execution, this song gains an atmosphere neurotic at the same time that a hangover's relax.

In short this is one of favorite song because its armony noise makes me crazy.
